Description: The selection of appropriate materials is critical to the implementation of high-quality mathematics instruction and to student achievement. To make informed decisions about instructional materials, educators must be knowledgeable about the Revised Indiana Academic Standards for Mathematics. Participants will be provided with an instructional materials review and analysis tool. This tool will assist campuses and districts in the mathematics instructional materials selection process. Workshop Outcomes: 1. Be able to use the mathematics instructional analysis tool to select quality materials that will facilitate student achievement in mathematics for all students in their district schools. 2. Be prepared to lead a mathematics instructional materials selection process in their districts using the Dana Center materials aligned to Indiana's Academic Standards for Mathematics.
